What Should I Do – I’m Still In Love With My Ex

Are you still in love with your ex?  Do you know if your ex is still in love with you?  Many couples who are still in love break up for various reasons and there is a possibility that the relationship can be mended.

There is a chance that you can get back together, but you must first look at the reasons for the breakup.  Who initiated the breakup and why?  Can the problems be resolved?  You must be honest with yourself.  Sometimes, even though it is painful, it is better to stay apart.  If the same problems that caused the breakup are going to keep coming up, then it probably would be best for you to remain apart.

If you feel that you will be able to resolve the issues, then you need a plan to get back together.  It might not be easy.  Your partner might not feel the same way that you do.  You do not want to aggressively chase after your ex.  Don’t appear desperate, don’t constantly call or text.  When you appear desperate it has the opposite affect on your partner.  It will push them away.

You need to give your ex some space to think and time to miss you.  You need to get on with your life.  Go out with friends – have fun.  After you have given them some time to get their thoughts together, approach them and explain how you feel.  Let them know that you are still in love with them and that you are very sad and hurt and would like another chance with the relationship.  Really listen to your ex’s response.  Don’t talk until they are finished talking.  You will know at this time whether you have a chance to get back together or not.

If they are willing to give it another chance, you need to talk about your previous problems and try to work them out before you get back together.  Many relationships are stronger after a breakup because each person realizes what life would be like without the other.  It makes you appreciate each other more.  It also opens up lines of communication which are essential in any relationship.
